I was browsing my memory stick and I found this piece of writing and it inspired me to share a smigit of info. It also ties in nicely with my ISU. :D

In catholic schools you not only learn exactly what the public school kids learn, you also learn this:


April 20th 2008

Our Calling

She walks down the street
Padding along her small feet
When she gets to her destination
The clamps go on her feet
Her fingers twiddles with the yarn in defeat
He missed a stitch and his eyes are wide with fear
His muscles are sore
As if he hasn’t moved for years
It's already dark and he hasn’t moved since morning
The Master's footsteps are heard
Stiff as a stone he awaits his punishment
He won’t make it home

Jesus Christ put them on this earth
But why would he choose them
To have no choice
Everyone has a calling
But this is not theirs

These are all of god's children
Why aren’t we all treated the same?
Because our parents just bought her rug
And we’ve just received a few of his shirts

They are faceless
They have no hope
Who will help them?
As voiceless as they are
They're screaming out loud
Sacred and alone
Nobody knows
Who'll help them?
They are just teens that don't know



Compassion, and understanding what happens around the world. We have to get the word out that there is something wrong in socoiety and we have to fix it.


Oh, and something the public schools do not learn very well, the Art of BS. And that is why I am thankful for region class, even though I don;t believe in god. The message I love (and hope gets pulled across into some heads), but the assignment was to show God's presence and actions in the world today.
